The Family Support Center of Carroll County
Providing support services to parents and children, from birth through age three. Our first priority is to assist parents in making sure that their children are healthy physically, developmentally and emotionally. This is accomplished through a variety of activities and programs, including immunization checks, developmental screenings, parent/child activities and quality child developmental care while families are at the center.
At the same time, parents are supported with programs designed to increase parenting effectiveness and self-sufficiency. Some of these programs are:
- Adult Basic Education and GED preparation
- Computer Literacy
- Employability Programs
- Basic Life Skills
- Parent/Child Activities
- Parent Education
- Support Groups
- Family Wellness Programs
- "Recipes for Success" Nutrition and Cooking Classes
- Crafts
- "Reading is Fundamental" Program
Families also have access to help with goal planning, general counseling, crisis intervention and referrals. Transportation to and from the center is provided, van schedule permitting.
