Family Links

The Family Links Program is designed to help Carroll County residents who have recently experienced a major life change or who are seeking assistance with a personal need or problem.  The main goal of Family Links is to provide information and referral (Directory of Community Services) as the point of entry to the appropriate programs and resources that are available to address a wide variety of needs.

Family Links workers provide crisis counseling using empathy and compassionate listening skills to provide accurate assessment of the challenges facing each household.  The worker helps clients assess their current situation and prioritize their goals as an essential first step in addressing the client's needs.  The program uses a comprehensive assessment tool to help direct clients to appropriate programs and resources.  Family Links will then work with the client to develop a plan of action towards their goals, offer case management and provide advocacy if required.

Who may be eligible?

All Carroll County residents are eligible but most programs assist those age 18 and over.

Family Links is a free service offered to all Carroll County Residents.

How to Apply

Please call for appointment with a Family Links Specialist. Walk-in assistance is provided based on staff availability during normal business hours (Mon. - Thu. 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and Fri. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
